Contextualisation, Subject

David Nash

during a group tutorial, we had to go to the welsh national museum. during this visit, we had to found a piece of artwork or artefact to talk about. mine was David Nash – multi-cut column. It was in the welsh landscape section of the museum, although this was a welsh landscape, I never thought it was every something to do with wales. The colour of it and the way it has a cracked look, makes me feel somewhere hot like a desert in the vegas or Australia. This has no definitive front or back in my opinion. the roughness of it is something that appeals to me as I’m a messy kind of person, you can see what he is like there the smoothness of this.
